Diwali brings online ticket booking in general buses

There will be online booking of seats in general buses from Lucknow to Delhi,Gorakhpur, Allahabad. It will start from 28th October from website www.upsrtconline.com
This general bus service will be known by the name 'Diwali Special'.

Now electricity bills timings till 10 pm night.

LESA's billing centres will remain open till 10pm night from 26th to 31st October.Timings 8 am morning till 10 pm night.Public can submit their electricity bills at these timings.

Passenger Ticket from EVTM will come out by new note.Exchange old note here.

3 electronic ticket vending machines(EVTM) have been installed at Charbagh station where passengers can take out their general ticket without standing in a long queue or line.Machine is giving ticket only on putting a new note.On complaint of getting ticket only by a new note Senior DCM has kept new notes uptil Rupees 1 Lakh with Ticket Superintendent office.Here passengers can exchange old notes for new so that they do not suffer or face problem while getting  or taking out ticket from ticket vending machine.

Facebook's solution to Dislike button..

Facebook has finally unveiled its solution to peoples calls for a dislike button in the form of six new emoji, each representing their own feeling.
Mark Zuckerberg hinted last month that his site was looking to expand the Like button, making a way for people to communicate that they were upset by news. And the site is now rolling out its solution in the form of emojis that represent Love, Haha, Yay, Wow, Sad and Angry.
 Since Dislike could be used for bullying and might make users feel bad, the site was exploring ways for people to communicate that they were upset without being explicitly negative.
Facebooks way of doing that seems to be a series of expressive reactions, rather than exactly replicating the Like button. That button is still available, but the new buttons sit alongside the regular thumbs up as extra options.As with the Like button,
users will be able to see who reacted and how.

New Public Transport App for Delhi by Google

The new experimental Delhi Public Transport App will be built into Google Maps to help users get directions and timetable information for Delhi Metro, DTC, DIMTS (orange) buses and Gurgaon Rapid Metro offline, Google said in a statement.
The app will also provide information on directions between bus stops and metro routes as well, it added.
Once the app is downloaded, the app does not use data for direction queries or timetables, even if the phone is online.
However, a small amount of data is used for news alerts (if online, roughly 1 KB each, about once a day) and user-optional feedback (up to 100 KB per feedback report).
The app includes a share button that will generate a link that can be sent to friends via channels like WhatsApp. Using the link, the app can be downloaded directly even without a Google Play Store account.
India is one of the biggest growth countries in terms of Google Maps usage and with this app, Google aims to better serve the needs of public transport riders in New Delhi area.

Why Women live Longer?

The average age of women is more than men.
According to studies,in the history of human beings,the average age of woman is 5% more than men. But why?
It was thought that men are subject to difficult situations, more work that is why men die earlier. But,today difference between men,women is disappearing,so the difference in age of a man and a woman should have also decreased,but statistics show that this is wrong.
According to research,now it is thought that the difference lies in the genetic structure of men and women.
Men have XY chromosome in their cell and women have XX chromosome. It means that women have an extra copy of each gene in their cells.Therefore, if something goes wrong in any gene,there is a spare for it.Men do not have this.
One other reason for this is that women heartbeat increases in second phase of periods(menses).This is like an exercise and because of this risk of heart diseases decreases.
  But the most important reason is hormone.
Men have testosterone hormone because of which their muscles are strong,their voice is different and they have moustaches.
Because of testosterone,their body during youth is strong,but with age their breakdown starts earlier too and is responsible for heart diseases. Whereas women have estrogen hormone, estrogen has the property of antioxidant, which stops old age problems.
     Why has nature done this injustice? Scientists say,that men's role is limited till women's pregnancy, after that women's role comes in.It is the woman who brings up a child and looks after the child.Therefore, woman's life is longer.

Senior citizens, women above 45,and pregnant women can now book up to 4 lower berths in sleeper class

Passengers used to complain that if senior citizens husband and wife wanted to book 2 lower berths, they were denied as they were travelling together.
With the new rule,if up to 4 persons make a single booking and all were senior citizens or women above 45 or pregnant,any of these combination, then each would get lower berth in sleeper class.

Police services by e-suvidha,eg tenant and servant verification....

Now you don't have to go to a police station for citizen services,eg.,mobile phone,passport,cheque book related complaints,verification of tenant,servant etc.
State's information dept. is closely working with UP police to roll out citizen services through e-suvidha centers.This facility would be available in all the 17 districts where centers have been set up.
  Expected to be running by end of this month,this facility will give Lucknowites option of getting tenant verification, domestic servant verification and character certificate, checking FIR status and submitting lost article complaint at the centers run by IT dept.A feeof Rs20 will be charged for each service so that centers remain self sustaining.10,000 to 15,000 people visit e-Suvidha centers on a daily basis in the city to pay utility bills.
 " Already 10 centers have been equipped to give out police related services.We are hopeful of linking all 56 centers in city with police servers",says Mohan Thakur UP state coordinator of e-Suvidha services.
For verification services,completed forms would have to be submitted along with photo of tenant or servant.A receipt with reference number will be given."Records would be sent to the police station concerned for further action,saving one from visiting police station"-says ADG Vishwakarma.
      Citizen services are expected to be linked within a fortnight and additional options would be available in months to come.Complainant will have option to view status of FIR.

Platform ticket booking to go online

Now Platform ticket booking will go online.
Railway minister announced that the booking of platform tickets can now be done online.It will first be started in Delhi and Mumbai.

Now you can have cleaning in moving train by message or email.
Eastern Railways has made a website cleanmycoach.com
By messaging or emailing on this site you can ask for cleaning of coach or lodge a complaint about dirty bedsheets.
Passengers will have to message on helpline number 58888.
You will have to write 'clean' in message and send your PNR number.
Then you will be given a password.
An alert will be sent to cleaning agency.
A worker will reach the complainant.
After cleaning,he will take password from passenger and send it to control room.
If any worker does not arrive to clean coach alert will be sent to senior members.
Then it will be the responsibility of senior DME to have the coach cleaned and take action.
